Sarsfield Estate Vineyard is located in the Lakes and Wilderness area of East Gippsland, Victoria.
All grapes used are exclusively estate-grown.

The growing season started cold and dry and Summer was dry, but not as hot as usual. The grapes matured slowly and steadily in lovely autum weather. With our very enthusiastic picking team vintage progressed exceptionally well and the last of the Cabernet Sauvignon was picked on the 7th of May.

The 2004 Sarsfield Estate Cabernets Shiraz Merlot is a single vineyard blend of 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Cabernet Franc, 27% Shiraz and 11% Merlot.
Grapes were fermented in open vats and pressed in a hand-operated wooden press. The wine has been matured for 18 months in French (70%) and American (30%) oak barrels.
